Berkley Welcomes $2 Million in Recovery Act Funding
(August 19, 2010)  Congresswoman Shelley Berkley recently joined officials with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Monsignor Leary of Catholic Charities, and Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian in welcoming the delivery of $2 million in Recovery Act funding for improvements at Stella Fleming Towers in Las Vegas. These funds will make the complex more environmentally friendly and increase energy efficiency, producing savings for residents.

Berkley: Nevada to Receive $34 Million in Foreclosure Aid

(August 11, 2010) Congresswoman Shelley Berkley recently welcomed the announcement that Nevada will receive $34 million in assistance to help families in foreclosure and the unemployed who are facing the potential loss of a home. The funding for Nevada is part of a nationwide initiative that includes $3 billion in funding for two targeted foreclosure-prevention programs.

New VA Community Clinic Will Provide Healthcare Option for Vegas Valley Veterans
(August 10, 2010)  Congresswoman Shelley Berkley recently announced that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has signed a lease on a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic, which will serve the healthcare needs of local veterans living in the Northeast section of the Las Vegas Valley.  The new clinic will be located at the intersection of East Charleston and Arden.
